Step 28 to Selling Your Home: Closing Day

It's almost closing day—exciting times ahead!

(If applicable) Your attorney will be there to represent you at the closing and ensure that everything goes smoothly. After the closing, your attorney/title company will email both of us a copy of the ALTA/settlement statement, which breaks down the exact closing cost charges. The title company will also take care of paying off the balance of your loan with the proceeds from closing. If you're due to receive additional funds from the closing after your loan has been paid off, your attorney/title company will arrange for a wire transfer or you can swing by their office to pick up your closing check.
