Sigh of relief! We passed two of the crucial points of the process and it’s safe to pencil in the closing date on your calendar and begin packing some boxes. Usually the seller does NOT attend closing; rather you can pre-sign all of the paperwork and give authority to have the Seller Closing Disclosure/ALTA/Settlement Sheet sent to your electronically for your signature. Therefore, plan to receive an email from your attorney or title company about a week before closing to set up a time to pre-sign the closing documents.
If you want to attend closing and sign the documents in person, you can. Just let us know which you prefer.
